His brain keeps going and going, and he thinks it might be bad and he wants it to be different. I tell him no, because even though his mind just doesn't stop, it flurries by in a plethora of orange and Dr. Suess rhymes and blurry color photographs. Cell phone backlight blue, smells good too. Brown eyes like a puppy, but I'm learning is not nearly so thoughtless. Used to think he might be, but knew somewhere he wasn't. Knew him all along if you wanna know the truth. Don't know how, just knew his crazy fuzzy-around-the-edges mind. Reminds me of watching neon lights go by while you're crying, bright and blurry and a little sad sometimes, but would never show it right away. He's fun to play in the snow with, I remember that; and he has a Jack Skellington voice and a faithful face. Reminds me of when we were all little kids, Band-Aids would make everything better--kinda bittersweet, but mostly just sweet. Kinda like brown sugar. Kinda like a scientist sometimes, an alcoholic, a panda-bear, an anime character, an acoustic guitar, a friendly kiss, a treehouse, a forties movie, an intellectual, a little kid, a grey cloud, a smell of air and a quality of light all in one. Good guy, though.
